Nothing here follows anybody anywhere. No advertising pixels, no third-party scripts, and no tracking cookie on this site or on your menu page. We count how many times a page or a sign is opened, described in full below, and that is the only measuring we do.
Cookies, and the three that exist
There is no tracking cookie and no advertising cookie anywhere on this site. There are three functional ones, and each of them is a key rather than a label: they exist so you do not have to type or keep a password, which is the reason this site has no accounts at all.
- Your signs. When you set a sign up, that sign and its change key are remembered on the phone you set it up on, so My signs can list it without you scanning anything again. Two years, up to twelve signs.
- Your seller link, if somebody gave you one to set signs up with.
- An owner key, which only exists on our own phone.
All three are first-party, set to HttpOnly so no script can read them, sent only over https, and not shared with anyone. None of them is on your menu page, so nobody scanning your code is ever given one. Clear your browser data and the worst that happens is you lose the shortcut: your signs keep working and your change link still opens them.
What we hold about you
- Your menu photo, and the business name, phone number, hours and tagline you type in. All of it is meant to be public, it is the page.
- Your email address, so we can send your links and a receipt.
- Your phone number and postal address, if you ordered a sign or a plan that includes decals, so we can post them to you.
- What your sign opens, which is whatever you typed into it: a link, a phone number, a payment handle, your Google listing. It is meant to be public, it is the thing the sign opens.
What we deliberately do not hold
- Your card details. Payment goes straight to Stripe. We never see a card number and could not produce one if asked.
- The location data in your photo. Phone photos carry GPS coordinates. Your photo is resized on your own phone before it is uploaded, and that process drops every embedded tag. Those coordinates never reach us, we cannot leak what we were never sent.
- Your IP address. We count requests per visitor to stop abuse, but what we store is a one-way hash, not the address itself.
Who else is involved
- Netlify hosts the site and stores the photos.
- Stripe takes payments and holds the billing relationship.
- Resend delivers our email.
- Anthropic may briefly see your menu photo if it is used to fill in your business name, phone and hours automatically. It is not used to train anything and it is not kept.
That is the whole list. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.
What your page records
A paid menu page counts how many times it is opened and which buttons get tapped, so we can show you those numbers. It holds no cookie and no identifier. The next section says exactly what that means.
People who scan your code
We count how many times your page was opened and which of its buttons were tapped: call, text, directions, a social link, or opening the photo full size. That is what fills in the scan numbers on your own update page, so you can tell whether the decal on your window is earning its place.
Here is exactly what a count is: your page, the date, and which one of those six things happened. Nothing else. No cookie, no IP address, no device or browser details, no referrer, and no identifier of any kind. We cannot tell two scans apart, we cannot tell whether someone came back, and we could not identify a single person who scanned your code if we were asked to. Individual counts are added up each night and the raw rows are deleted.
Free sample pages are not counted at all.

The card page at /me counts the same way and nothing more: that it was
opened, that someone pressed the button to text him, and that someone sent the short form.
The date and which of those three happened. No cookie, no IP address, no device
details, and no identifier. Tapping the card tells him a tap happened, never who
tapped it. If you fill in the form, the number and name you type are emailed to him and are
the only things he sees, because you chose to send them.
How long we keep things
- A page you never paid for is deleted after seven days, photos and all.
- A page you pay for is kept as long as you have it, and stays online frozen if you stop paying, so your decals do not turn into dead links.
- A sign keeps what it opens until you change it or clear it, which you can do yourself, free, as many times as you like. Clearing it removes what it opened and leaves the sign blank and ready to set up again.
- Ask us to delete everything and we will, permanently. Your page goes with it, so the codes you have printed will stop working, we will say so before we do it.
Your say
Ask and we will tell you exactly what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Reply to any email we have sent you. There is no form and no ticket system; a person reads it and answers.
Children
This is a tool for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
